If you were putting $1,000 on these odds H., where would it go? Vandy over 6? Florida over 8? Bama or Auburn under?

H. doesn't seem like the type that would be so risky. Preseason O/Us like this, with such little reward, seem like something experienced gamblers shy away from hnless they're super sure on something. A lot of crazy stuff happens over a season; injuries, arrests and just kids being kids and not pros make college seasons hard to predict.

Taking a decent gamble on a good team to win a conference title if the odds line up then going week to week seem like more logical bets.

Like if the odds on say, LSU winning the SEC were +300 or better preseason, that seems like it's worth the risk for a $500+$1,000 bet if you have a $5,000 bankroll. Or, loading up on an obvious bet, like FSU to win the ACC at -300 or better, with a huge bet seem like good choices. But risking big on -100/+100 O/U wins seems to me something someone like H would avoid. But I could be talking out of my ass, I'm great at that.

Holy ****, it may have changed now but in April, FSU was +300 to win ACC. PLUS 300! H., is that still accurate? If so, it's time for me to move some money and HYPOTHETICALLY throw some money down on FSU.

I like under on Mizzou, UF and MSU. Over on USC.

I could definitely see SC being better this year but have a worse record than last year. The schedule is more difficult this year.

I'd go Missouri UNDER 6 if I had to put it on one.

Sounds solid. H, if FSU is still +300 or so to win ACC, is that a good bet to wager quite a bit?

I think so.

Not being partial, but I think Arkansas should go over 6 without a problem. I think senior QB Austin Allen, in his 5th year in the system, should be able to get the team to 8-4. The defense should be better and the O-line comes back solid.

I guess folks are thinking TCU will beat Arkansas, but the fact is the Hogs are like 60-15 lifetime against TCU. At one point in time, if I remember correctly, Arkansas beat TCU like 22 seasons in a row. I'm taking the Hogs in this game every time.

The problems come in when you factor in a tough schedule, a mediocre defense and losing your best runner. I wouldn't be shocked if Ark won 7 games, but I wouldn't be shocked if they just won 5.

I'll be shocked with 5. So will the entire system. If that happens, the hot seat will be on Beeble big time.

I think Mizzou wins 6 easily and possibly wins 7-8 depending on how much our defense improves. No doubt we will have one of the best offenses in the conference but we have to shore up our defense.

UF will not lose 5 games. UF over 8 is probably the biggest lock on that list.

That's why they call it gambling.
