Voytik, Boyd and Conner are all back. Is boyd over his arrest? Can Voytik keep getting better in the passing game? Entirely new staff and return 7 starters on defense, even with that their is limited star power and uncertainty.

@Dawg - Good points. The star power is there for sure on offense. My concern is the defense. The secondary was not good in 2014. Countless times they would miss their man or compromise coverage, resulting in big pass plays. The good news is just about all those guys return. Hopefully Pitts and Maddox will be improved. IMO the experience has to show for the Panthers to be decent.

They need continuity with the staff. Too many coaches and changes since Wannstedt left the program. If they want defense, they hired the right guy

That's right. To me that is the dumbest decision made by the school, to fire Dave Wannstedt. He had the program going in the right direction. Pitt was winning 8, 9, and 10 games. Admin got so high on that their expectation was to win the BE Title. So they were a little greedy there. Ever since, the coaching hires have been a joke. I just hope Narduzzi is here to stay. Pittsburgh needs the commitment the coach is going to be in it to win it in the long run.

Here's what I think.

Sept. 5 - vs. Younstown State W
Sept. 12 - at Akron W
Sept. 19 - at Iowa W
Oct. 3 - at Virginia Tech L
Oct. 10 - vs. Virginia W
Oct. 17 - at Georgia Tech L
Oct. 24 - at Syracuse W
Oct. 29 - vs. North Carolina W
Nov. 7 - vs. Notre Dame L
Nov. 14 - at Duke L
Nov. 21 - vs. Louisville W
Nov. 27 - vs. Miami (FL) L

7-5 + bowl game; not bad for Narduzzi's first year.
