BATON ROUGE – The LSU men’s basketball team, off its 22-9 season that saw the Tigers finish in a four-way tie for third at 11-7 in the league, were featured prominently in All-SEC teams announced on Monday by two media organizations – Scout.com and Collegehoopsdaily.com.

Scout on its SEC First Team has both Jarell Martin and Jordan Mickey on its first team of eight players. Of Martin, Scout said, “Top five in scoring and rebounding; averaged 22.8 points in final five games.” Mickey received the following comments: “Nation’s leader in blocked shots, rejected 62 in 17 SEC games, shot 50.7% from the field.”

Keith Hornsby, who made the game winning shot on Saturday at Arkansas, was on the eight-player second team and Jalyn Patterson was selected to the eight-player All-SEC Freshman team.

Jordan Mickey was named the Defensive Player of the Year by Scout.com and Tim Quarterman the most improved player.

Glad K.T. got in pretty amazing how well he shot the 3 ball considering how bad we were this year. I hope he gets his shot in the NBA, but he will have a solid career oversees if that does not work out.
