-Thoughts?

I don't know much about Pitt, but I see 7-5 or 6-6.

Sorry, but I don't know much about Pitt. The last time I paid attention was the 1982 Sugar Bowl. I was in NOLA a week after the game, eating at the Cafe Sisba. The waitress asked me where I was from, and I replied Marietta, GA. She said, "Lawd, y'all still here? Them Pitts (she called them Pitts), they don't know how to have no fun. Them dawg people, they be crazy".

Thanks for the predictions, guys! I appreciate them. Thought it would be cool to make a thread of my boys and get your feedback.

I think Pittsburgh possesses the capability to win 7-8 games. Last season's bowl win was a positive stride into the off-season. Coach Chryst finally has his recruits on the field, now, which is fun to watch. On the other side, it was disappointing to see Pitt falter against UNC and Miami FL, both at home. Both performances were discouraging, and lead me to question if Pittsburgh can really "get up" for big ACC games. Right now I don't see a clear favorite in the Coastal Division. Ultimately though I believe it will come down to Miami (FL), UNC, VT, and Duke. Pittsburgh has a chance if it can play with these teams, which they struggled against (1-3; win over Duke) in 2013. Think that comes down to if breaking in a new QB (Chad Voytik named the starter today) and filling holes on defense (notably Aaron Donald). This is Chryst's third year so I would believe at least a bowl game is the expectation.

Being the season starts tomorrow and I have yet to make a known prediction, here we go:

8/30: Delaware - W
09/05: at Boston College - W
09/13: at Florida International - W
09/20: Iowa - L
09/27: Akron - W
10/04: at Virginia - W
10/16: Virginia Tech - L
10/25: Georgia Tech - W
11/01: Duke - W
11/08: OPEN
11/15: at North Carolina - L
11/22: Syracuse - W
11/29: at Miami (FL) - L

8-4 (5-3)

Seems realistic. I believe the Panthers will eek out a few games in their favor. I don't think they are ready yet to contend for the ACC, but an upper half finish is within reach.

Chad Voytik is the starting QB. He's got some guys to throw to, including Tyler Boyd, and James Connor at RB should provide a decent ground attack. Question is the secondary and the depth along the defense. If they can hold opposing offenses, that is going to be a key.

UGA and Pitt have only met several times. I believe only in the 70s and 80s. Back then, Pitt fielded some of the better teams, if not among the best, in school history. The last National Champ we won was in 1976. Had we played Georgia any time after through the present, I doubt we'd have any chance.
